Sónia and Cristiano dreamed of a day where classic elegance merged seamlessly with their great passion: horses. They chose the imposing Mother Church of Loures for their “I do” and the exuberant Palácio do Correio Mor for an unforgettable celebration. With our mixed photojournalistic and fine art approach, we documented a story rich in detail, light, and moments of peerless beauty.
Gatherings and Smiles in Torres Novas
Sónia’s morning began at her parents’ home in Torres Novas. Surrounded by her closest friends, the atmosphere breathed a wonderful sense of relaxation. We focused on capturing the essence of these genuine moments—the knowing smiles, the lightness of the mood, and the serene anticipation of a bride about to live the day she always dreamed of, all bathed in natural and organic light.
Cristiano’s Tranquility
Cristiano got ready at the couple’s home, immersed in a remarkable calm. As always, our presence was discreet and subtle, allowing the morning to flow at its own pace. We recorded the elegance of the preparations and the calm of a confident groom, capturing authentic portraits that perfectly mirror his personality.
Tears at the Altar and a Romantic Carriage
The religious ceremony took place at the Mother Church of Loures. The moment Sónia and Cristiano’s eyes met at the altar was filled with such pure emotion that tears were impossible to hold back. Following a beautiful ceremony, the romance reached new heights: the newlyweds departed in an elegant carriage pulled by two horses toward Palácio do Correio Mor, a cinematic journey we documented in a pure photojournalistic style.
Magnificent Light and Equestrian Passion
Given the couple’s deep passion for horses, the cocktail hour in the Palace gardens featured a fascinating equestrian demonstration. Before heading to dinner, we stole Sónia and Cristiano away for a brief and fluid couple’s session. We explored the stunning gardens and the richness of the palace interiors. The magnificent light bathing the historic rooms allowed us to create absolutely stunning and luxurious fine art photographs, without locking them into exhaustive poses.
A Traditional Waltz and a Lit-up Sky
The party culminated with the same sumptuosity that defined the entire day. The couple opened the dance floor with a traditional and romantic waltz, kicking off a celebration full of joy and fun. To close this chapter with an unforgettable signature, the cake cutting was illuminated by incredible fireworks—a spectacle of color that brought the narrative to a magical end.
