Patricia and Nuno live in Lisbon and dedicate their lives to the healthcare field—a demanding routine that called for a wedding day where the only rule was to celebrate without reservations. With many family members traveling specifically from the Porto area, Quinta da Bichinha in Alenquer proved to be the perfect setting. A space that embraced everyone with its rustic and natural charm, ideal for our documentary and fine art approach.
A Toast Among the Vineyards
Patricia chose to spend her final hours as a single woman in a small, charming house on the estate, surrounded by vineyards. The atmosphere breathed an incredibly cool vibe, punctuated by those beautiful, tiny jitters of someone about to walk down the aisle. The climax of this preparation? An emotional champagne toast between the bride and her closest friends, sealing the moment in perfect natural light.
Controlled Chaos and Wide Smiles
Nuno got ready at a relative’s house, very close to the church where the ceremony would take place. The energy of the space was excellent—a true “controlled chaos” full of hugs and reunions. Always with a smile on his face, Nuno split his time between the final adjustments of his suit and warm greetings to arriving family members. We were attentive shadows, documenting every laugh invisibly.
Emotion and Complicity
The religious ceremony took place in a nearby church, where the emotions of both families (North and South) finally united. We preserved the grandeur of the space and the intimacy of the glances exchanged, staying focused on the genuine reactions, tears of joy, and the smiles that marked the “I Do.”
Golden Hour on the Floating Deck
Upon returning to the estate, we took advantage of the absolutely perfect late-afternoon light for a couple’s session by the lake. Although the time was intentionally short (so we could return them quickly to their guests) and despite Patricia’s initial hesitation about walking on the floating deck, the relaxed vibe won out. The result is a fantastic fine art session—fluid and extremely elegant.
From Brazilian Pagode to a Red-Hot Dance Floor
The entertainment promised much and did not disappoint! Right from the cocktail hour, a Brazilian pagode infected the guests, pushing the energy to the limit. The entrance into the hall was pure excitement. Dinner interspersed party moments with deeply emotional tributes to the couple. To open the dance floor, Patricia and Nuno shone with flawless choreography, setting the tone for a DJ who kept the party at its peak well into the night.
