Inês (Portuguese) and Ben (English) designed their destination wedding from England, entrusting the orchestration of their day to the elegance of Name It Events. They chose Quinta dos Machados in Mafra—a setting that perfectly embraced the vision of an outdoor wedding, where every moment breathed fluidity and authenticity.
Serenity Before the “I Do”
Inês’s preparation took place in one of the rooms of the main house, unfolding with wonderful fluidity. With Sara Kruss’s talent enhancing her makeup, Inês experienced these moments surrounded by tranquility, radiating pure happiness and that beautiful nervousness of someone preparing for a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Among Friends
Not far from there, Ben was getting ready in one of the estate’s suites. Surrounded by his closest friends, the atmosphere was one of pure relaxation and humor. As the invisible guardians of their day, we preserved the anticipation of these moments leading up to the ceremony without ever interfering with the group’s organic dynamic, stepping in only briefly to capture a few more formal portraits.
A Pine Grove Full… of Emotions
The symbolic ceremony unfolded under the canopy of the pine grove, gathering the entire family in an intimate setting. Led by Inês’s brother, the celebration was marked by touching speeches that elevated the truth behind every word. But the moment that will remain forever etched in this visual legacy was the bride’s entrance: as he saw Inês walking toward him, Ben couldn’t hold back his tears. A raw, authentic emotion, beautifully preserved.
Light and Connection
After an incredibly relaxed cocktail hour, we “stole” the couple away for a few brief minutes. We explored the cobblestone road at the estate’s entrance, where we were gifted with a magical light filtering through the tall trees. With subtle direction that allowed them to feel like “themselves,” the result is our signature fusion: the compositional beauty of fine art paired with the emotional truth of documentary photography.
“Al Fresco” Dining and a Vibrant Dance Floor
The evening continued with a relaxed (yet still elegant) al fresco dinner, punctuated by speeches full of humor and warmth. To close this chapter, we moved to the indoor hall. Inês and Ben opened the dance floor with a flawless choreography, kicking off a long, intense, and incredibly fun party. More than just documenting a celebration, we provided this family with a visual treasure for future generations.
