Ana & Pedro, Engagement Photoshoot at the Vineyards, Alenquer
ENGAGEMENT photoshoot | ALENQUER | MIXED STYLE (Documentary + Fine Art)
Ana and Pedro are the kind of incredibly friendly couple who make us feel at home from the very first minute. For their engagement (or pre-wedding) session, they chose a setting with a very special meaning: a wonderful estate in Alenquer, farmed by Ana’s father for growing table grapes. At Boris the Cat, we believe that photography with soul needs roots, and there is nothing more authentic than photographing a couple in a place they hold close to their hearts.

Vineyards, Dirt Paths, and the Wait for Golden Hour
We let the two of them guide us, strolling in a fluid and relaxed way through the vines and the estate’s paths. Our documentary approach thrives on this naturalness: without rushing, we recorded the hugs, the laughter, and the immense empathy that unites them as we walked, simply waiting for the sun to dip and offer us that perfect end-of-day light.
The Perfect Light and a Tractor with a Story
And our patience was rewarded in an epic way. The low, golden light hit exactly as we reached a vast, freshly harvested wheat field. The setting called for a rustic touch, and the icing on the cake was finding one of Ana’s father’s old tractors parked right there. We couldn’t resist! We used the tractor as a prop for a series of fine art portraits full of personality, closing this magical afternoon with an absolutely unforgettable texture and color palette.
