Isabel and André are one of those couples whose chemistry is palpable from miles away. Just one look is enough to see how deeply they are in love. Travel enthusiasts, lovers of good conversation, and incredibly kind, they brought a fantastic energy to this late afternoon. For their engagement (or pre-wedding) session, the chosen setting was the imposing and vast Guincho Beach in Cascais.
The Typical Gale and a Calculated Risk
Anyone who knows the Cascais coastline knows that Guincho has a mind of its own. Just minutes before we began shooting, the conditions seemed challenging: one of those typical local gales was blowing with full force. With everyone’s schedules at their limit, we even considered postponing the session to make it more comfortable and avoid compromising the aesthetic. However, our local instinct spoke louder. We decided to take the risk and head down toward the sea.
Nature and Magnificent Light
What followed felt like pure magic. As soon as we stepped onto the sand, as if nature wanted to reward our boldness, the wind died down drastically. On a wonderfully sunny day, the golden late-afternoon light embraced Isabel and André perfectly. Without the chaos of the wind, we let the couple enjoy each other’s company freely, guided by our subtle direction, resulting in a series of magnificent fine art photographs filled with truth and romance.
